HOW DO I REQUEST MY OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS?
Most schools have a simple process to request official transcripts. Here’s what Teachers of Tomorrow recommends when requesting transcripts:

  1. Check with your school’s admissions or registrar’s office for details about their transcript policy. You can typically do this online.
  2. Many schools have an online transcript request form. Fill out the form and gather your payment information.
  3. Submit your payment information to secure your official transcript delivery.

Keep in mind that the version of your transcript submitted must be an official version for admission to Teachers of Tomorrow. Once requested, don’t worry if you don’t receive it immediately as it usually takes 24-72 hours to receive your transcript (or longer if being sent by standard mail). If you do not receive your transcript within that timeframe, please contact your university registrar for further assistance.

HOW MUCH DO OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS COST?
Ordering your college transcript cost an average of $10-12, but prices may vary. It may be possible to pay slightly more to expedite the processing of your transcripts. If you’re looking to get started and enroll as soon as possible, check with your university to see if this option is available.

WHY DO I NEED TO SUBMIT MY TRANSCRIPTS?
Submitting your transcript will help Teachers of Tomorrow verify your academic credentials and identify what courses you may or may not need on your journey to the classroom! Additionally, having a 4-year degree is a requirement of the state, and we must comply with all state laws and regulations. Fortunately, requesting transcripts is a simple and cheap process. We encourage you to request your official transcript as soon as you apply to become a teacher through our program. Ultimately, this expedites the application and enrollment process to help get you prepared for your dream job sooner. Don’t keep your students waiting.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS AND UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS?
Official transcripts are documents that are generated directly by the registrar’s office. These must be specially ordered and paid for. Official transcripts are issued electronically as a secure .pdf document or sent via standard mail and are printed on blue tamper-proof security paper. Official transcripts are necessary to verify their authenticity. Unofficial transcripts are typically available for free. While they can contain the same information as the official transcripts, these documents are not secure and therefore cannot be used for official purposes.

HOW DO I GET MY TRANSCRIPTS EVALUATED (COURSE-BY-COURSE)?
If you received your degree outside of the U.S., you will need to have your academic record reviewed by an approved service provider, as your degree must be equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 2.5. This link below allows you to begin the transcript evaluation process through TranSpan, an approved service provider. Please follow the two steps below to complete your application for transcript evaluation. Transcripts elevation is NOT required for those who earned their bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. institution.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO PROCESS MY TRANSCRIPTS?
Please allow our Teachers of Tomorrow team up to 7 business days to process your transcripts once received. Please refrain from contacting our office to determine if we’ve received your transcripts unless it has been 7 business days since your university has confirmed the transcript was received.
